Real-Time CGM: the PRIMARY Prescription for Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is an “invisible” condition, and many people do not feel poorly even when their glucose levels are consistently above the target range. Adding RT-CGM to the diabetes management plan can empower people living with T2D by connecting the dots between health behavior choices and glucose patterns to make T2D “visible”. They can experiment with their favorite foods and activities to learn how their glucose levels respond in real-time receiving immediate feedback. One tool to help reach glycemic goals early is using real-time continuous glucose monitoring (RT-CGM).

In this ~30 min presentation you will learn:

  • Why RT-CGM may be your primary prescription early in the diagnosis of T2D
  • How to read the standard RT-CGM Ambulatory Glucose Profile (AGP) report to view the full picture of diabetes glycemic metrics
  • How to support your clinical practice by reviewing reimbursement and the RVU’s associated with RT-CGM
